Fall 2023 Comparative Legal Research Poster Topics -- 11 groups from USF and ULIM, USF and USM -- USF - Moldova Global Classroom

Students worked together this semester (from University of South Florida - USF and the Free University of Moldova (ULIM) and Moldova State University (USM) -- working in groups comparing and contrasting decisions of the Supreme Court of the United States and the European Court of Human Rights on similar legal questions.

Mid-Point Check In -- USF Moldovan Comparative Legal Research Project

Most of the work on the comparative legal research project takes place outside of our classroom  -- in the groups (via WhatsApp, messenger, emails)

But we did meet up for a mid-point check-in to discuss each of the 11 group topics and to answer questions when all faculty mentors and students were present.

First Joint Meeting -- USF - Moldovan Comparative Legal Research Cooperation -- Moldova State University (USM) and the Free University of Moldova (ULIM)

This week we had our first joint meeting with students from Moldova State University (Anglophone Department within the Law Faculty) as well as with International Relations Students from ULIM.

THANKS so much to collaborators Prof Larisa Patlis at ULIM and Prof Lia Butucel from Moldova State. 

We also appreciate the mentorship of Judge Serghei Turcan of the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Moldova (and professor of Human Rights at ULIM) as well as Professor Aliona Cara Rusnac, Secretary of State at the Ministry of Environment at the Republic of Moldova (and coordinator of the Anglophone Department within the Law Faculty).
